Product advantages
Versatile
The CardMaker software, included
in the Enterprise and Enterprise PKI versions, works
out-of-the-box with standard default settings, but
provides full-featured versatility for administrators
who want to manage security policies, logon entries, and
end-users.
Simple Setup
Comes with the same ease of use
as the Logon Manager software. CardMaker self-installs
on a server computer and is ready for use after
specifying only three server settings.
Feature Rich
Security policies include PIN and
password policies, with a random PIN/password generator;
pull card from reader to lock, logoff or shutdown
computer; password change reminders; and much more.
Administrator can also specify user groups, and which
default settings and logon entries end-user is allowed
to change.
Administrator Control
Administrators logon to CardMaker
using a Administrator password, or based on
administrator rights granted to card. The primary
Administrator grants and revokes other Administrators'
rights.
Reporting
Reports and logs include all
active and inactive cardholders and administrators;
defective, lost, stolen, and returned cards; as well as
cardholder and system transactions.
Interoperability
While its modular, client-based
architecture makes 1Point function independently of the
existing network infrastructure, the 1Point Logon
Manager and CardMaker APIs allow it to easily integrate
with a wide range of third-party client and server-based
applications, e.g., with facility access card management
systems, or identity management systems.
Logon Entry Management
End-users enter Windows logon
data and "auto-record" website and application logon data with their cards,
using Logon Manager software at end-users computers.
Or, administrator creates Windows
logon entries or "auto-records" website and application logon
entries, and loads entries to end-user card accounts. Logon
data of managed entries can be updated by the 1Point
administrator or through a third-party provisioning system.
